Being The Brontës – BBC2
While working as Assistant Producer on this 1×60′ documentary exploring the history of the famed British authors the Brontë sisters, I self-shot and edit produced a stand alone short film for the Brontë Parsonage Museum exploring the childhood artwork of Charlotte Brontë and her brother Branwell.
As an Assistant Producer I researched, planned and organised a variety of filming with our presenters, broadcaster Martha Kearney, journalist Lucy Mangan and author Helen Oyeyemi on location at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, Yorkshire.
Filming culminated in a dramatic reconstruction of Charlotte Brontë’s 1854 wedding in Haworth Parish Church, including organising props and costumes and casting professional actors and extras for the sequences.
I directed second camera footage including drone sequences and stylised montages around the parsonage.
