Countryfile – BBC1

I worked as a VT Director and Edit Producer across several 1×60 episodes of this prime-time magazine format, the most-watched factual BBC programme, that regularly drew a weekly audience of 7 million viewers.

As a VT Director making multiple films per programme, I was responsible for recceing, planning and scripting, directing crew on location, producing our talent and multiple contributors performances on-screen and then fast-paced edit producing to hit a weekly TX deadline.

Working with presenters Anita Rani, John Craven, Ellie Harrison and Helen Skelton among others on the Countryfile roster, location directing on this programme could involve anything! From driving tractors during harvest time in Berkshire, working with mountain rescue dogs in training in the High Peak District to getting hands on with a team of coastal rowers in Northern Ireland and joining cobnut pickers in Kent!
