Glamis Castle: A Royal Residence – Channel 5

I edit produced and directed this 90 minute episode of a fast turnaround three-part prime time Channel 5 history/popular factual series about royal residences.

Using specially shot expert interviews, archive footage and specially commissioned CGI and GFX the feature length film tells the story of Glamis Castle in Scotland – a pink painted fairytale fortress that was the family home to one of Britain’s oldest aristocratic families – revealing the secrets of a house steeped in history, tradition and myth. The ancestral home of the former Queen Mother, the film delves into centuries of history to cover all aspects of Glamis Castle’s past, from architecture and interior design to tales of ghosts and scandal.

I worked to hit a tight TX deadline managing two editors over a dual edit on Avid in a 4 week turnaround. With a last minute request from the channel, I had to take the film from 60 minutes to 90 minutes at short notice with just 4 extra days of edit time.
